Kutcheris at Nada Bharathi / Hyderabad

In the last week of July 2004, Nada Bharathi presented a Gottu Vadyam recital by E. Lalitha Krishna and vocal by K. S. R. Balakrishna Sastry.

Lalitha, a disciple of Ravi Kiran, opened the concert with a Varnam in Saranga, followed by kritis in Begada, Gowla, Simhendramadhyamam, and Ravichandrika. The main item was the Dwiragam (Sunadavinodini and Bhairavi), Tanam and Pallavi and ended her concert with a a Javali in ragam Mukhari. Ramesh on the violin and P.S.Gopalan on mridangam accompanied her. Lalitha's 8-year old daughter Poornima sit on the stage and keep the talam.

Balakrishna Sastry, a disciple of gurus M. Balamurali Krishna and Hari Nagabhushanam, started his recital with an Ata Tala Varnam in Kalyani and continued with Kritis in Arabhi, Phalamanjari. He further presented Himagiri Tanaye (Suddha Dhanyasi) and Paradhanamichhite (Begada) in detail, concluding his concert with a Thillana in Kadanakuthuhalam. M. V. N. Prasad on violin and Aravind on the mridangam supported Sastry.
