| Music fest in Payyanur / Kerala |   |
| Thuriyam Sangeethothsavam-2004, a music fest was held in Payyanur in Kerala recently. It was inaugurated on 17 July by music director M.S. Viswanathan in the presence of S. Jyothi, Muncipal Chairman, Payyanur.
According to Swami Krishnananda Bharathi, the organizer of the event, the festival is the first of its kind in Payyanur. It featured vocal concerts by T.M.Krishna, T.V.Ramprasadh, Pantula Rama, Kalamandalam Hyder Ali, T.V.Shankaranarayanan, Trichy Ganesan and Malladi Brothers, a violin recital by V.V.Subramaniam and flute recital by K. Janaradhanan. Concerts were held at the Ayodhya Auditorium, Payyanur.
