Composers Fest / Chennai

| Mudhra organised a Composers’ Festival from 1 to 3 July, at Vani Mahal, Chennai. Songs of 25 vaggeyakaras were covered at the fest featuring different music forms like varnam, kriti, svarajati, javali, thiruppugazh, tevaram, tillana, tarangams, ashtapadis. Bhushany Kalyanaraman, T.V.Ramprasadh and Radha Bhaskar performed. The concerts were preceded by a talk on 'The contribution of composers to Carnatic music' by Radha Bhaskar. She also highlighted the distinct features of the compositions to be performed on each day in terms of their lyrical and melodic content.
