Yuvadhwani, a forum of young musicians of Mysore organises a state level Youth Meet from July 16 to 18, 2004 at Mysore. About 100 young upcoming artistes from all over Karnataka will be participating. The venue is Prasanna Parvathi Kalyana Mantap, Vontikoppal, Mysore.
Young artistes who wish to take part in the Youth Meet, can send their bio-data to Yuvadhwani by 12 July.
There will be lec-dems by eminent personalities on all the three days. Schedule: 16 July: 'Raga through Ages - Bhairavi' by Sukanya Prabhakar, 'Role of Mridanga as an accompanying instrument' by A.V.Anand, 'Ghatam in Karnataka Sangeetha' by Sukanya Ramgopal.
17 July: 'Neraval and its dimensions' by Neela Ramgopal, 'Intricacies of Sushira Vadya' by N. Ramani, 'Role of Violin in Karnatic Music' by Mysore M. Nagaraj and Mysore M. Manjunath. This will be followed by a panel discussion - 'Challenges before young musicians.'
The third day of the fest features 'A tribute to Sri Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar'. 'Art of Ragalapana' by R.K. Srikanthan, 'Tana and its Nuances' by R. K. Padmanabha and 'Different shades of Pallavi' by T.S. Satyavati are the lec-dems. Music concerts by young artistes at three different venues are also arranged on all the three days.
