| 'Thaka Dhimi Tha', the Bharatanatyam game show on Jaya T.V. now features the semi-final rounds. Each episode has 3 segments. In the talent round, the participants present a classical Bharatanatyam number. In the Knowledge round, the dancer has to answer a general question on dance, demonstrate 3 usages of a hand gesture or emote and express a mood. In the Creativity segment, properties or objects like mud pot, peacock feather, flower etc., will be used by the participants as they dance to folk, Indian or western instrumental music.
Each episode will be anchored by a well known film or TV personality. Some of them are Chachu, Sulakshana, Y.G.Mahendra, Janaki Sabesh, Uma Padmanabhan, Anuradha Krishnamoorthy, violinist Dr.Narmadha, Veenai Jayanthi Kumaresh among others. Leading dance gurus like Dr Padma Subramaniam, Chitra Visveswaran, Ranganayaki Jayaram, Lakshmi Viswanathan, V P Dhananjayan, Udipi Lakshminarayanan, Krishnaveni Lakshmanan, Krishnakumari Narendran, Nandini Ramani have judged the shows. Each episode also features a segment called 'Celluloid Choice'. This will treat viewers to a clip from a classical dance sequence from vintage, popular Tamil films.
