Dear Editor,
This is with reference to the sad and sudden demise of Tmt. Vasantha Sarvanan, the well renowned Veena exponent who happens to be the mother of my dearest friend and classmate. She is a great lady, kind, loving and affectionate and treated us as her own children. Her passing away is not only a personal loss to me but the Music World lost one of its greatest exponents of the instrument and her contributions with it.

Please convey our sincere and heartfelt condolences to the entire family at this hour of deep sorrow and we join them in mourning. May her soul rest in peace.

-Jaya and Rajender
