How exciting is Chennai's December season?
The annual December season of classical music and dance in Chennai (India), enters yet another edition soon. It is a time when the best artistes perform at various venues. More than 400 concerts are held over a period of seven weeks.

Some people say the festival is so unique that it needs to be promoted well in India and abroad. That it needs to feature the best and the talented.

Others say the festival is getting to be a crazy event that breeds rivalry, sub-standard work and surviving with small audiences. That there is too much happening with little substance.
