The website Sangeetham.com, the portal on Carnatic music, in association with Charsur Digital Workstation, has been conducting quizzes for the past four years on the web site and has also released a book of quiz questions in Carnatic music.
This December, a grand and live Carnatic Music Quiz, is being organised at the Chettinad Vidyashram in R. A. Puram on 14 December. The Transworld Group of Companies, who have come forward to lend their support to the fine arts, is sponsoring the event.
The target audience will be Carnatic music lovers of all age groups. Registration forms will be made available at prominent locations all over the city and on the web through the site www.sangeetham.com.
The quiz will have a combination of questions, audio, visual and video rounds and will involve the latest technological advancements in multimedia, thereby making it a high profile event. Prizes for the first three teams and consolation prizes for the other qualifying teams and the audience will be there. A total of Rs 50,000 worth of prizes is to be won. The last date for the receipt of forms at Charsur Digital Workstation is the 10th of December 2003.
