Cultural talent scholarships from Govt. of India
The Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), Govt. of India under its 'Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme' invites applications from children in the 10-14 age group, for the award of scholarships in various artistic fields. Students studying either in recognised schools or belonging to families practising traditional, performing and other arts are chosen. The scholarship continues till 20 years of age or 1st year of University degree, which ever is earlier.
The scholarship is awarded initially for two years and then renewed every two years based on the performance of the child. The value of scholarship is Rs. 200 per month for the child in addition to the Guru’s tuition fee (to maximum of Rs. 200 per month) are also reimbursed. A total number of 300 scholarships are offered every year.

Residential dance training / Bangalore
Nrityagram in Bangalore, invites applications for a three-year residential training programme in Bharatanatyam, Odissi or Kathak. Those who are serious about pursuing dance as a career can sign up. You will work with teachers and dancers from all over the world and those who excel will be inducted into the Nrityagram dance ensemble.
Lodging, boarding and training is free. But, in return, you will be involved in all the work at Nrityagram - work in the office or campus or teaching. Requirements: Age - between 17 and 24 years, Height - minimum 5'2", undergone basic dance training, completed plus-two.
Classes will begin in October 2003. Nee-Win Hershall, an alumni of Kalakshetra, is the residential teacher under the direct supervision of Leela Samson.

Tamil Nadu Eyal Isai Nataka Mandram invites applications from young talented artistes for performance opportunities at various places in Tamil Nadu. Young artistes in the fields of Bharatanatyam, vocal music, kathakalakshepam or instrumental music will be given opportunities to perform through the various cultural institutions and sabhas. Age limit - musicians: 16-29 years, dancers: 15-29 years.
