| A new e-group called the 'ovkmusicgroup' has been started by Chitravina Ravikiran to study, promote and preserve the works of Oottukkadu Venkata Kavi. This group will also plan practical sessions (concerts, lecture-dems, workshops) based on his works.
On 5 July, the Birth Centenary of Gotuvadyam Narayana Iyengar will be celebrated in Mysore with a special jugalbandi between Ravikiran and flautist N. Ramani. Celebrations are also planned in UK and Dubai. The centenary was also celebrated in several major cities in the USA like Atlanta, Dayton, Cleveland, San Diego. In Cleveland, Ravikiran and his friend Ram Mouli from Baltimore instituted a special Gotuvadyam Narayana Iyengar Award Fund of $ 2000, the interest of which is to be given every year to winners of competitions conducted there.
