| Sharada Kalakendra, dedicated to Carnatic music, has organised a unique aradhana of saint Tyagaraja in Bangalore at Vadiraja Kalabhavana, Akshayanagar, Hulimaavu, Bangalore.
Vadiraja Kalabhavana is a centre of classical music and is on the outskirts of Bangalore. The programme will be held on Feb. 23 and 24.
On February 23, there will be a ‘nadaswaram’ recital by vidwan Kodandaram and party followed by a huge ‘Teppotsava’ to the saint-composer. The day’s programme would also include a procession of Saint Tyagaraja along with Unchavritti.
The next day, there will be a goshti gaayana ( group singing) of the pancharatna krithis and Utsava sampradaya krithis of Tyagaraja. Following this, will be a dance recital based on the compositions of Tyagaraja by Manasi Prasad. |
