Japanese dancer to get 'Aadarshila' Award

Izumi SatoIzumi Sato, a disciple of Saroja Vaidyanathan, New Delhi is being awarded the 'Aadarshila' award on 2 December at FICCI Auditorium, New Delhi.

Izumi Sato is a recipient of the ICCR scholarship to study Bharatanatyam in India. Izumi had her arangetram in October 1999.

She is a graduate in cultural anthropology from Kyoto Seika University. Izumi is currently translating Saroja Vaidyanathan's book, "Bharatanatyam - An In depth study" into Japanese.
