Top artistes perform in Kerala
Kerala hosts a series of music and dance fests at Trivandrum, Palakkad and Thrichur in the first week of October. The top artistes perform here and the fests usually draw a huge audience. The fests also showcase movies, crafts, theatre, food and more. Here is the schedule:
Soorya Festival / Trivandrum
The annual Soorya Festival of dance and music will be held from October 1 to 10, at Tagore Theatre, Trivandrum.
The fest features musicians Yesudas, Lalitha and Nandini (violin duo), Nithyashree Mhaadevan, Bombay Jayashri and dance performances by Chitra Visweswaran and group, Padma Subrahmanyam, Vineeth and Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Maya Rao and group, Daksha Seth and group among others.

Swaralaya Dance and Music Festival
Swaralaya, Palakkad hosts its annual national level music and dance festival from 1-10 October, 2003 at Rappadi open-air auditorium, Fort Maidan, Palakkad, Kerala.
The fest features musicians Thrichur Ramachandran, Nithyashree Mahadevan, Malladi Brothers, Lalitha and Nandini among others. Dance performances feature Kalamandalam Kshemavathy, Kapila (Mohiniattam), Chitra Visweswaran, Vineeth and Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Charulatha Jayaraman, Arunaregha (Bharatanatyam), Daksha Seth (Modern dance) besides Kathak, Odissi, Manipuri and Ganamela concerts.
