Honours for R.K. Srikantan / New Jersey

Bangalore based veteran musician R.K. Srikantan was recently honoured by the state of New Jersey on April 23, 2005 at Edison, New Jersey, U.S.A. A 3-hour vocal concert featured the octagenerian RKS accompanied by his musician-son Rudrapatnam Ramakanth on vocal support, Vinay on violin and Suresh on mridangam.

It was attended by a full house of discerning audience from New Jersey, New York and Philadelphia. The concert was organised by a new organisation Nada established by a team of dedicated music connoisseurs of New Jersey with Ashwathnarayan as its President. Nada felicitated RKS with a plaque, citation and a shawl followed by felicitations by various noted cultural organisations of New Jersey and New York.
