Nritya Gitanjali school of Dance organised a lecture demonstration by Guru Rajee Narayan (of Mumbai) on May 23, 2004 at the Shiva Vishnu Temple, U.S.A. Shoba Narayan, the seniormost student of Guru Rajee organised the show and a workshop conducted by her guru at her residence in Strongsville. Dance guru Rajee spoke about the evolution of Bharatanatyam. Shoba, aided by her students demonstrated the dance items.

The grand finale was a piece taken from the dance drama 'Thirumailaie Kuravanji' which was performed by Guru Rajee and Shoba.

Says Shoba, "The workshop gave my students the unique oppurtunity to take lessons from their 'Grand Guru' and it was an experience of a lifetime".
