Cleveland Cultural Alliance (CCA) has announced its new dance production for 2006. Titled 'Ekaantha Seetha', the production will premiere in Chennai followed by a tour of N. America in September-November 2006.
Choreography for the dance drama is by the renowned dance gurus Shantha and V.P. Dhananjayan and music composition is by T.V.Gopalakrishnan.
Featuring 16 dancers, the show will feature Chennai based dancer Sreelatha Vinod and US based artistes Rathna Kumar, Sujatha Srinivasan and Pavithra Srinivasan in the lead.
Says Uma Ganesan of CCA, "The dance-drama celebrates inspirational women in mythology, history and in everyday life, who were forced by circumstances to plough a lonely furrow."
