Ananya's stage for young dancers in Bangalore

Ananya GML Cultural Academy in Bangalore is on to another project - to provide a stage for young, up and coming dancers. The series is titled 'Nritya Chilume' and its second edition is being held on March 7 at Sevasadana hall, 14th Cross, Malleswaram, Bangalore, 6pm onwards.

'Nritya Chilume' is meant for artistes aged below 15 years. Ananya's mentor Dr. R V Raghavendra says that 'Nritya Chilume' aims to promote and motivate youngsters to further their learning, by providing them an opportunity to showcase their talents to a wider audience and interact with senior guru’s and fellow performers.

'Nritya Chilume 2' features Bharatanatyam performances by Raksha Manohar (guru - P. Praveen Kumar), Maya Dhananjay (guru - Shubha Dhananjay), an Odissi performance by Prithvi P. Nayak (guru - Sharmila Mukherjee) and a Kuchupudi performance by Sangeetha Phaneesh (guru - Veena Murthy Vijay).

The guest of honour for this show is Ajay Vishwanath, a well known dancer.

Pratibha Bharadwaj is the co-ordinator for this series (Ph.98800-52983)
