their corresponding Hindustani Raagas with of every practical illustrations.
Ahir-bhairav corresponds to Chakravaham of Karnatak music. Mere
scales do not portray Raaga or the emotion. It is the rich Bhava
which dominates every Raaga.
Dr. M. Narmdha says. ''it is the permutation and combination of
swaras that give rise to these melodic phrases. The importance of
UCCHAR (pronunciation) on every single note produce different tonal
shades of the Raaga in different facets
Hindustani music depends on Uccar and Sanchara for demonstrating
the very life of every Raaga.
