Immersed in her devotion to the fine arts, Harini Venkataraman,
a 15-year-old budding dancer, whose interests include Carnatic music, Bharatanatyam and painting, is a performing artiste who has performed at many sabhas.

Harini is a student of Sir Sivaswamy Kalalaya Senior Secondary School, Mylapore, Chennai and enjoys taking part in various competitions. She has won prizes in essay writing, cover design, mono acting, singing and in dance.

A voracious reader, especially of books on mythology and culture, this habit has helped her understand her art much better and apply that to dance.

Her performances are full of feet-tapping jathis, well choreographed by her excellent teacher Pandanallur Sri. S. Pandian and full of subtle sancharis.

It was Harini's love and enthusiasm for Bharatanatyam that encouraged her family to relocate to Chennai from Sharjah in UAE.
