With God’s gift of grace and innovation and guidance from her mother and Guru, Smt. Karthiyayini Natesan she has performed on stage and then devoted herself to choreographing and presenting her own dance ballets.

Anitha started this early in her career with her dance group when she was based in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The finesse and elegance in her performances were widely acclaimed and brought her many laurels.

Anitha founded Bharathanjali in 1989. She is bestowed with an exeptional talent of teaching Bharathanatyam to youngsters and has an uncanny ability to bring out the best in each and every child. She has been able to mould children to attain professional standards at an early age. Many of her students have blossomed into solo dance performers and have been performing regularly in the December Season in Chennai in the past few years and winning awards, titles and scholarships.

Anitha has also carved a niche for herself with several dance-ballets and thematic dance productions which have been highly praised.

A cast of young students with fine dancing technique, a dramatic atmosphere and remarkable choreography have made her productions unique and appealing to dancers, critics and rasikas and also won her many awards and titles from prestigious sabhas and organizations.

Some of her recent works include 'Chitrangadha', 'Koodiyirundhu Kulirndhelore Empaavai', 'Natrunaiyavadhu Namachivayave', 'Ramyam Hitham Natyam', 'Sadha Venkatesam Smarami Smarami', 'Mahadevam Mahasenam Bhaje', 'Thathasthu' and 'Swagatham Krishna'.

These performances have been presented in many parts of the country and at premiere dance festivals.
