Remembering Chandralekha. . .
To remember dancer and guru Chandralekha who passed away last year, SPACES, a new space at her house in Brsant Nagar, Chennai was opened on Dec. 30. This will be a Kalaripayattu training centre. Events are being held at this venue till January 1. Limited entry.

Lifetime Achievement Award for R. K. Srikantan
Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha, will awards its life time achievement award Nadha Yogi to vocalist Dr. R.K. Srikantan, during a function organised on Dec. 28 at 6.30 pm. The event will be held as part of the sabha's 107th year Celebrations.
Nalli Kuppuswami Chetti will preside and confer the title on Dr. R.K. Srikantan. Sri. A. Natarajan, and Sri V.V. Sundaram will offer felicitations.
The function and the programme are jointly organised by Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha and Lalithakala Academy Foundation, Mysore.
After the function a special music concert by Dr. R.K. Srikantan is scheduled.
