Parashah is by now known as a group of senior Bharatanatyam dancers which produces theme productions and keeps performing them in India and abroad.
The group is made of Roja Kannan, Priya Murle, Srikanth and Aswathy. Their production based on Subramania Bharathi has seen over 80 recitals.
This season. they present ' Marabu - the fragrance of tradtion' and the opening recital is on Nov.29 evening at Narada Gana Sabha in the presence of gurus Padma Subrahmanyam and Sudharani Raghupathy.
Priya says that the seed for this production, which is a classical margam was sown by critic and writer Nandini Ramani at a dance meet where Ramani wondered why this set of seniors could not work on a margam.
Roja says 'Marabu' is a result of the energies that the foursome bring to the margam in the way they feel it.
This production will be performed during the 'season'.
