Dance writers honoured
The five-day Natya Kala Conference’s valedictory event was held on Dec.31 morning at Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, T. Nagar. Senior dancer Yamini Krishnamurthy was the chief guest. Awards were given to writer-critics Sunil Kothari, Lakshmi Venkataraman and Nandini Ramani.

'Sakuntalai'; dance drama draws on MS film
Dance guru and choreographer based in Chennai, Radhika Shurajit has chosen to base a new production on the M S Subbulakshmi classic film 'Shakuntalai'. This new music-dance presentation on the vintage film to be premiered on Wednesday, Dec.10 evening at Sri Krishna Gana Sabha in T. Nagar.
Anitha Guha's production on Mahabharat
Chennai-based dance guru Anitha Guha who has been acknowledged for moulding teen dancers and presenting them in her large dance productions is all set to present a two-part dance production which is on themes from the epic Mahabharat.
