The opening evening at Sri Krishna Gana Sabha in T. Nagar at the 'season' is a dancers' community event in many ways. .
Chennai Cultural Sabha it is now called. It used to be called Nungambakkam Cultural Academy. It holds its fest from an air-conditioned hall on Habibullah Road, T. Nagar. .

Many fests at season time create a stage for talent. For sometime now, the sabhas have run recitals at noon and early evening, giving talents these slots. .
The December season now rolls in November and you know why - the tests are getting bigger, new organizers are pitching in and the season of plenty continues for no apparent reason. .
This will be its 60th art fest. Far. far older than most fests held at December time. .
Bharat Kalachar's 26th margazhi mahotsav of music and dance opens on December 1 this season and runs till January 16, in 2013. As always, the awards ceremony on the opening evening is big - the focus being on young, talented artistes. .
