The 73rd Bhagavata Mela Nataka Mahotsav is on from May 22 to 31 Mellatur village, near Thanjavur. Classical dances will be held on May 27 but on the rest of the days, there will be shows of this long-successful traditional art form. Harischandra is on May 25 and 26.
