The valedictory function of Sangati and presentation of Ananya awards was held on May 16 at Sevasadana Auditorium in Malleswaram, Bangalore.
The 15th Ananya Puraskara award was conferred on Vidwan R. Parthasarathy, a renowned Nagaswara vidwan, the Ananya Shastra Kausthuba award meant for senior musicologists was given to Vidwan Padma Gurudatt, a well known exponent of lakshya and lakshana aspects of Carnatic classical music.
Vidwan Maruthi Prasad is an upcoming Carnatic musician and he was given this year’s Ananya Yuvapuraskara.
