A string of events focussed on the birth centenary of Carnatic music maestro G N Balsubramaniam (GNB to fans) are taking place in Chennai and more are lined up for 2010.

One major event is scheduled for Oct.24 under the auspices of Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, T. Nagar.

The clutch of events include screening of a docu film made by Rupa Gopal on GNB over a year ago, a multi media talk by Dr. S AK Durga and Dr. Radha Bhaskar, unveiling of the maestro's portrait by Thanjavur Kittappa, release of a audio CD and commemorative book and finally, a grand concert by GNB sishya, Trichur V. Ramachandran.
